Principal's Desk

An educational institution plays a pivotal role in moulding the future of the students. It is this place that develops the innate capacities of the young generation along with equipping them with the skills needed to stand in the growing competition in the society. It is a moment of pleasure for me to see you all on the path of becoming the part of this esteemed institution. I welcome and congratulate you all for beginning your new academic journey with us. Our college Smt. Kesharbai Lahoti Mahavidyalaya is one of the best colleges in the region reaccredited with NAAC A grade in the third cycle consecutively. Initially it started with B.A. in 1960 and then B.Com was added in 1962. Since then it has been on a victorious march with a long list of meritorious students, color holders and national and international players. Various new courses like Junior Wing, M.Com. M.A., BBA, BCA, Career Oriented courses are added in the due course of time. In Junior wing optional courses like IT & Mathematics are added along with regular subjects.

In Sports and cultural activities too we are doing far better than other colleges in the arena. Our College has been awarded by SGBAU with Research centers for Ph.D.in 11 different subjects. It makes me feel proud to mention that our college has a unique existence not only in Sant Gadge Baba University, but all over the region. It has remained the first choice for the students since years. The College has given maximum number of C.A.s to the city.

We put in our best efforts to maintain and improve our academic standards. Our exemplary teaching as well as administrative staff spares no pains to cater to the needs of the students. With a magnanimous support from the Management our college always remains at the forefront in unfolding the hidden potential of our students by bringing in modern and advanced ways of teaching. We provide,

  • 3. Training sessions to prepare students for campus placements in collaboration with companies like TCS, Mahindra etc.
  • 4. Training program for B.Com. and M.Com. students for the preparation of CA, CPT and CS Foundation examination.
  • 5. Motivational programmes for the students of 11th and 12th.
  • 6. Training programmes for Arts students - like introduction to MPSC, UPSC and other competitive examinations.
  • 7. Guest lectures on various topics.
  • 8. Study tours and industrial visits are undertaken in order to give the first hand industry experience to the students.
  • 9. A well equipped Gym for boys and girls.
  • 10. NSS and NCC for sensitizing the students regarding the social service by organizing various programs.
  • 11. A well equipped Language laboratory to hone the English communication skills of the students,
  • 12. The latest technical amenities like LCD, Projectors in the smart classrooms to make the students techno savvy
