About the Department
The Department of Geography was established in the year 1960. Geography is the mother of all the sciences. It is a focus within the curriculum for understanding and resolving issues about the environment and sustainable development. It is also an important link between the natural and social sciences. As pupils study Geography, they encounter different societies, culture and nature. The department has a number of physical and political maps of India and the World. The topographical maps, weather maps and instruments are also available in the department. The young and energetic faculty of the department is highly focused to create a general awareness about the employability of the subject. The department also offers P.G. and Ph.D programs in the college.

- A) The faculty and the Head of the Department Dr. Anilkumar G. Prasad was selected to attend a Training Program at Indian Institute of Remote Sensing (IIRS) Dehradun in “Remote Sensing and Geosciences” Sponsored by Indian Space Research Organization (ISRO).
- B) Dr. Anilkumar Prasad is appointed by Bal Bharati as a Micro-Reader for the syllabus of S.S.C.
- C) The department of Geography has a very rich research base.

- E) 1 Minor Research Projects is submitted and sanctioned by U.G.C.
